废水中含有大量固体与砂砾，会干扰处理过程并造成设备机械磨损，抬高维护成本。过滤环节的核心目标是把悬浮物截留在一个可控的位置，而不是让它继续往下游跑。Wastewater carries large amounts of solids and grit that disturb treatment and cause mechanical wear, raising maintenance costs. The goal of the filtration stage is to retain suspended solids at a controlled point rather than let them travel downstream.
